Children’s Poetry Summit
The Children’s Poetry Summit celebrated National Poetry Day with a vibrant series of wonder-themed collections. They showcased natural world poems by UK poets such as Attie Lime, John Rice, Rhona Stephens, Pie Corbett, Andrea Shavick, Julie Stevens, Philip Waddell, Linda Middleton, and Mims Sully in A World of Wonder-ful Nature Poems on National Poetry Day. Their second feature, A World of Wonder Poems on National Poetry Day 2026, presented playful verse illustrated by Chris Riddell alongside a brief science note about space orbit, while A World of Animal Wonder Poems on National Poetry Day gathered delightful verses celebrating creatures large and small across the animal kingdom.
David L. Harrison
David L. Harrison brought us along through a week filled with reflections and creative updates. In A pure feel good experience, he thanked school librarian Angela Knight for a warm window display honoring his work ahead of an upcoming visit.
