When Puppies Play Baseball
From the book A Festival for Frogs
When puppies play baseball
they like to have fun.
They race and they roll
as they run in the sun.
They jump and they bump and
they tumble all day.
It’s always exciting
to watch as they play.
But nobody wins and
they don’t score at all.
Because, if they catch it,
they chew up the ball.
