It’s Raining Cats and Dogs Today
It’s raining cats and dogs today.
I couldn’t tell you why.
When I went outside this morning,
they were falling from the sky.
A Schnauzer hit my trousers
and a tabby whacked my shirt.
There’s a puddle full of Poodles
near some Persians in the dirt.
I almost got knocked over
by a Dachshund and Dalmatian,
and I had to dive to dodge
a Himalayan and Alsatian.
A Boxer’s on my noggin.
An Angora’s on my sweater.
There’s a Burmese in a tree
beside a frightened Irish Setter.
If it continues raining
cats and dogs for too much longer,
I may need a new umbrella,
one that’s much, much, much, much stronger.
