Melinda McKnight
From the book My Hippo Has the Hiccups
Melinda McKnight is extremely polite,
but only on Sundays at seven fifteen.
On Mondays at one she will argue for fun.
On Tuesdays at two she’s completely obscene.
On Wednesdays at nine she will grumble and whine.
She’ll croak and complain if she can’t have her way.
On Thursdays at three she’s as rude as can be.
She’ll fuss and throw fits for the rest of the day.
On Fridays at four she will slam every door.
She’ll screech and she’ll squabble on Saturday night.
And Sundays she’s mean until seven fifteen
When Melinda McKnight is extremely polite.
