A Feast for a Frog
I took my frog with me
to dinner today.
We went down the street
to my favorite café.
As soon as we sat down
the waitress came by.
I ordered a burger,
a shake, and some pie.
I thought she was done,
but the next thing I knew,
she turned to my frog
and asked, “What about you?”
My frog then surprised me.
He looked up and spoke.
He said, “Just the usual…
flies and a croak.”
