Children’s Poetry Summit
This week, Jay Bhadricha discussed the upcoming National Poetry Day theme, which is Play, and how poetry can foster creativity and language development in children.
David L. Harrison
David L. Harrison shared a new poem for his “Word of the Month” series in My poem for September Word of the Month. In addition, he’s encouraging everyone to explore the Poetry from Daily Life Free Video Library. He also announced that Bob Stephens is returning to Poetry from Daily Life for the final time. There’s also news that David was filmed for The Story of Art in America documentary series, and Brian Shipman is adding more recordings to the video library. Furthermore, David shared his experience of In the school news, in Japan, where he visited a school in Japan, and participated in a Sam Bommarito webinar with Tim Rasinski.
DreamBeast Poems
This week Mark Bird shared a poem inspired by Midlands dialect words in ‘Kids From The Middle’ – A Poem Inspired by Midlands Dialect Words, and he featured ‘Same Age’ A Grandma Poem For Kids about the unimportance of age, which is a poem about the connections between a grandmother and her grandchild.

Rose Cappelli shared a Poetry Friday post focused on Poetry Friday: Imagining, inspired by Mary Oliver’s words.
Joshua Seigal
Joshua Seigal had a couple of interesting posts this week. He shared a post with a series of interviews in THE NEWS, and wrote about his Green Bin problems.
