The Sand Looks Like Candy
From the book A Festival for Frogs
The sand looks like candy.
I’m licking my lips.
The ocean is soda.
The seashells are chips.
The beachballs are berries.
The snorkels are fries.
And all the umbrellas
and frisbees are pies.
The sun is a pizza
or maybe a peach.
I seem to be hungry
today at the beach.
