Santa’s Suit
A Funny Christmas Poem for Kids
If Santa’s suit gets dirty,
no matter what might cause it,
he’s got a clean one handy.
It’s in his Santa closet.

About This Poem
This one is short and sweet, but I hope you'll find it funny. The way this poem came about is that I was reading a bunch of Christmas jokes and riddles, and I thought it would be fun to try to make up some of my own. The first one I thought up went like this: Q: Where does Santa keep his red suit? A: In his Santa closet. But, of course, this is a poetry website, not a riddle website, so I came of with a way to convert this riddle into the poem "Santa's Suit." In fact, you'll notice that a lot of the poems on this website are very much like riddles or jokes. You will see that most of them have a "punchline" or a "zinger" at the end to make you smile, just like a joke or a riddle. If you would like to learn how to do this too, read How to Write Funny Poetry - Chapter 4: Making it Funny for examples of different ways to make a poem funny.
