Making Cakes
From the book A Festival for Frogs
I use a bunch of carrots
when I make a carrot cake.
And chocolate’s what I need
when chocolate cake is what I bake.
My corncake has a lot of corn.
My cheesecake calls for cheese.
My apple cake needs apples
so I use a few of these.
And when I make banana cake
bananas fill the bill.
Some ice cream is the thing
that gives my ice cream cake its chill.
Today I’m craving something new
and so I’m making plans
to try two brand new recipes…
I’ll need some cups and pans.
