About This Poem
Texting is fun, and it’s even more fun when you do it with emojis, those little pictures you can use in place of words to express ideas or emotions. I use emojis all the time when I send text messages because I think it makes them more fun than just plain, boring text.
But did you know you can also write poems with emojis? Neither did I until I tried it. Since a lot of emojis are different versions of the “smiley face,” I thought I’d give that character a name and show his range of emotions. But you could just as easily write a poem using food, transportation, or other emojis.
By the way, if you aren’t sure what any of the emojis in this poem mean, just hold your mouse over the images to see the word appear.
