Kids can publish their poems on this website by posting them to the "Your Poems" section in the Forums. You must be a member of the Funny Poetry Fan Club to access the Forums.
Members of the Funny Poetry Fan Club can also post their poems in the Poetry Journals section of the website. This is a good way to keep all of your poems in one place.
Lastly, members of the Funny Poetry Fan Club may enter the poetry writing Contests on this website and enter their poems to win prizes. Four winners will be selected each month, and each winner will receive an autographed book or CD.
Yes! There is a new poetry-writing contest every month, and contests are open to students in grades 1-12 (ages 6-18). There are four winners every month. Each winner receives an autographed copy of one of Kenn Nesbitt's books of funny poetry or a similar prize.
You must be a member of the Funny Poetry Fan Club to enter a contest. Just click on the Contests link at the top of the page or in the Main Menu box on the left side of the website.
You only need to join the Funny Poetry Fan Club if you want to enter the poetry-writing contests, use the poetry journals, listen to the audio recordings, or access the forums.
Children 13 years old and younger must have their parents permission before joining the Funny Poetry Fan Club.
·I signed up, but I can't log in to my account. What's wrong?
When you sign up for the Funny Poetry Fan Club, you will receive an email right away with an "activation link" in it. You must click on this link to activate your account before you will be able to log in. This is to ensure that you have provided a valid email address.
After you have clicked on the activation link and activated your account, you should be able to log in. Just click on the "Login" link in the upper left corner of the website. Be sure to correctly enter your username, password, and the security code that is displayed on the login page.
·I saw a poem on this website and now it's gone. Can you send me a copy?
Possibly. If you are looking for a poem that is no longer on the website, I will be happy to send you a copy if the poem is not in one of my books. Please just use the contact form to send me an email.
If the poem has been published in one of my books, I will let you know which book the poem is in so that you can purchase a copy or get it from your library. A starving artist has to make a living, after all.
